Free Trial
Every new user receives 7 days of free access to ShaadiBills from the date of account creation. During the trial, you have full access to all features of the Service, including budget categories, expense tracking, payment ledgers, and reporting. No payment details are required to start the trial.
Post-Trial Read-Only Period
At the end of the 7-day free trial, your account will be locked to read-only mode. You will still be able to view data you have entered, but you will not be able to add, edit, or delete entries, or generate new reports, until you make a one-time payment.
If you do not make a payment within 30 calendar days after your free trial ends, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our active systems.

Access Period
Your access period is 1 year (365 days) from the date of payment. The wedding date you enter in the app is for your own planning and reminder purposes only and does not affect the length of your access period. If your wedding is postponed, cancelled, or rescheduled, your access period remains unchanged. No refund is issued on cancellation or postponement of the event.
Account Purge
On the day your access period ends, your account, stored data, categories, expense records, payment records, reports, and associated files will be permanently deleted from our active systems. Backups containing this data will be purged within a further 90 days.

Any such change will be communicated in advance, and existing one-time ₹599 payments will not be converted to recurring charges without your separate, explicit consent.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to revise pricing for future subscribers at any time. Any price change will apply only to payments made after the effective date of the change. Your current access period will not be affected by price revisions.

4. Nature of the Service
ShaadiBills is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking tool. It allows users to record planned and actual expenses, organize them into categories, track payments, and export read-only reports to share with family members.
The Service does not:
- Process, transfer, or hold funds on behalf of users or vendors
- Provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice
- Verify, endorse, recommend, or guarantee any vendor, service provider, or payment recipient
- Act as an escrow, payment gateway, or financial institution
All payment records entered into the Service are user-generated data for your personal tracking only. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of amounts, due dates, vendor details, and actual payments made outside the Service.
No reliance. You acknowledge that you are not relying on any representation, statement, feature description, or projection made by the Service or by us as a basis for any financial, contractual, or other commitment. All decisions based on data in the Service are yours alone.
No vendor liability. Vendor names, contact details, and any other third-party information you enter or encounter in the Service are not recommendations, endorsements, or verifications by us. We do not screen, vet, or validate any vendor. Any disputes between you and a vendor are entirely between you and that vendor; we are not a party to and accept no liability for such disputes.
5. Free Trial, Read-Only Period, and Paid Access
New users receive 7 days of free access. After the trial, the account is locked to read-only for up to 30 days. If no payment is made within 30 days of trial expiry, the account and all data are permanently deleted. To continue using the Service, the user must make a one-time payment of ₹599, processed via Razorpay. Access continues for 1 year (365 days) from the date of payment. After this period, the account is permanently purged. Full pricing and access terms are set out in our Pricing section, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Payment Terms
All payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. By making a payment, you additionally agree to Razorpay's terms and privacy policy. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our servers; these are handled by Razorpay.
Payment confirmation is received from Razorpay. If a payment fails or is not credited to your account within 48 hours despite your bank/wallet being debited, contact us at support@shaadibills.com with your transaction reference.
7. Account Lifecycle
Your access period is 1 year (365 days) from the date of payment. The wedding date you enter in the app is for your own planning and reminder purposes only and does not affect the length of your access period. At the end of your access period, your account and all associated data are permanently purged from our active systems. We are not obligated to restore purged data, and it is your responsibility to export any data you wish to retain before the purge date.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder

9. User Content, Feedback, and Data Export
Your data. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service (categories, expenses, payments, vendor names, family names, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you, and a further perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to retain anonymized, aggregated, and de-identified data derived from your use of the Service for product improvement and analytics.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter. We do not monitor, edit, or endorse user-entered content.

You are responsible for verifying the completeness and usability of any export before your account purge date.
10. Reporting and Exports
The Service allows you to generate and export reports (PDF, WhatsApp) to family members or other recipients of your choosing. Our role is limited to technically generating and transmitting the report to the address or destination you specify. What happens to that report after we transmit it, including who the recipient shares it with, where they store it, how they use or misuse the information, whether they forward it, screenshot it, or disclose it to others, is entirely your responsibility and the responsibility of the recipient you choose to send it to.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Anyone who receives or obtains a report may be able to view the data contained in it
- We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, how any recipient or downstream party uses, stores, shares, or protects the report
- You are solely responsible for deciding with whom to share reports, and for any consequences flowing from that decision
- We will not be liable for any misuse, loss, theft, disclosure, or unauthorized distribution of information contained in reports after they leave our systems
We strongly recommend sharing reports only with trusted family members.
11. Intellectual Property
All software, design, graphics, text, branding, logos, and content of the Service (excluding user-entered data) are owned by or licensed to Mohinder Associates LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership right in the Service.
“ShaadiBills” and related marks are trademarks of Mohinder Associates LLC.
12. Modifications to the Service; No SLA
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may add or remove features, and we may release updates that change the look and function of the Service. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation, except as set out in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
No uptime commitment. We do not commit to any specific uptime, availability percentage, response time, or service level. Any availability statistics we may publish are for informational purposes only and do not create any obligation or warranty.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures as described in our Privacy Policy, we do not and cannot guarantee absolute security, confidentiality, or integrity of your data. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available
- Your data will not be lost, corrupted, altered, or made inaccessible due to technical failures, hacking, unauthorized access, third-party service provider failures, force majeure events, or any other cause

14. Limitation of Liability and Release
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mohinder Associates LLC, its directors, members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates (collectively, “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, or goodwill
- Loss, theft, corruption, deletion, or unauthorized access of your data, whether caused by hacking, phishing, service-provider failure, technical malfunction, human error, or any other cause
- Cost of substitute services or data reconstruction
- Emotional distress or reputational harm
- Any consequence of financial decisions you make in reliance on data displayed by the Service
- Any misuse or unauthorized disclosure of reports after transmission from our systems
This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Liability cap. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims of any kind arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have actually paid to us for the Service, and in no event more than ₹599 (Indian Rupees). For users who have only used the free trial and never paid, the total liability is zero.
Release. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, demand, loss, damage, or liability arising out of or related to: (a) loss, theft, corruption, or unauthorized disclosure of data stored in the Service; (b) the acts or omissions of any recipient of a share link or report; and (c) any financial decision you make in reliance on the Service, except to the extent such loss is caused by our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or a breach of our obligations under applicable data protection law.
Limits we cannot waive. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including our obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000; mandatory consumer-protection rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (for users in India); liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or liability for fraud.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mohinder Associates LLC and its affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of any law or any third-party right; (d) the data and content you enter into the Service; or (e) your transmission, sharing, or distribution of reports or any other output of the Service.
Defense control. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense. You may not settle any matter without our prior written consent.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, or misused the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service. In the event of termination for violation, no refund will be issued.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund. See our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except that mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the laws of India (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019) shall apply to users ordinarily resident in India to the extent they cannot be contracted out of.
18. Dispute Resolution: Binding Arbitration, Jury Trial Waiver, Class Action Waiver, Limitation Period
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT, HAVE A JURY TRIAL, AND PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS.
18.1 Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@shaadibills.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. We will do the same. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may proceed to arbitration as set out below.
18.2 Binding arbitration. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Service, or the relationship between you and us (a “Dispute”) shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration, not in court, except as expressly provided below.
- For users ordinarily resident in India: Arbitration shall be conducted under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator, seated in Delhi, India, in the English language. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. Subject to arbitration, the courts at Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter not arbitrable.
- For users outside India: Arbitration shall be conducted in Fort Bend County, Texas, USA, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), by a sole arbitrator, in the English language. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Subject to arbitration, the state and federal courts located in Fort Bend County, Texas shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter not arbitrable.
18.3 JURY TRIAL WAIVER.
YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY LEGAL PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE, OR THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND US.
18.4 CLASS ACTION WAIVER.
YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS AND MAY NOT PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS PROCEEDING.
18.5 Limitation period. Any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or it is permanently barred, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18.6 Attorney fees. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney fees in any arbitration or court proceeding, regardless of outcome, except where a statute mandates otherwise or the arbitrator finds a claim was frivolous.
18.7 Exceptions. Notwithstanding the above: (a) either party may bring an individual action in a small-claims court for claims within that court's jurisdiction; (b) either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or to prevent unauthorized use of the Service; and (c) nothing in this Section limits, restricts, or waives the right of any user ordinarily resident in India to file a complaint before a Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum or Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
18.8 Severability of this Section. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable in any proceeding, that proceeding shall be severed and proceed in court, while the remainder of this Section (including the arbitration agreement and jury waiver for individual claims) remains in force. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, the jury trial waiver in Section 18.3 shall still apply.

By completing payment, you acknowledge and agree that you have had adequate opportunity to test the Service and are satisfied that it meets your needs.
We do not offer refunds for:
- Change of mind or decision not to use the Service after payment
- Cancellation or postponement of your wedding or event
- Failure to use the Service during your access period
- Unmet personal expectations about features that are clearly described on our Pricing page or within the Service
- Loss of access due to your violation of our Terms and Conditions
- The automatic purge of your account at the end of your access period (this is clearly disclosed at time of purchase, and reminder emails are sent at 30, 15, and 3 days before purge)
- Loss of access to data that you could have exported before the purge date
4. If There's an Issue, Contact Us
If you believe there has been a billing error, a duplicate charge, an unauthorized transaction, or a service issue on our side, please contact us at support@shaadibills.com before initiating any chargeback with your bank. We review every request in good faith and resolve valid issues promptly.
5. Cancellation
You may stop using the Service at any time by logging out and discontinuing use. Because this is a one-time payment (not an auto-renewing charge), there is no recurring charge to cancel.
To close your account and have your data deleted before the scheduled purge, email support@shaadibills.com from your registered email address. Account closure does not entitle you to any refund of the paid amount, whether pro-rated or otherwise.
6. Limited Exceptions: When We Will Review a Refund
Notwithstanding Section 3, we will review and, where valid in our reasonable judgment, process refunds in the following limited circumstances:
6.1 Duplicate or erroneous payment. If you are charged more than once for the same purchase, or if an amount different from the stated ₹599 is charged due to a payment-system error, we will refund the excess amount in full.
6.2 Failed transaction with deduction. If your bank or wallet is debited but the payment is not credited to your ShaadiBills account within 48 hours, contact us immediately. In most cases, Razorpay will auto-reverse the amount within 5–7 business days. If the reversal does not occur, we will coordinate with Razorpay to issue a refund.
6.3 Service unavailability on our side. If the Service becomes permanently unavailable due to our decision to shut it down within your paid access period, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the period between the shutdown date and the end of your access period. Temporary outages, scheduled maintenance, or service issues caused by factors outside our reasonable control (including internet outages, third-party service disruptions, force majeure events) do not qualify for a refund.
6.4 Unauthorized transaction. If a transaction was made from your payment method without your authorization, contact us and your bank immediately. Refunds in this case are subject to investigation and confirmation with Razorpay and your card issuer.
7. How to Request a Refund (for Eligible Cases)
Email support@shaadibills.com within 7 days of the transaction with:
- Your registered email address
- Razorpay transaction ID / payment reference
- Amount charged and date
- Reason for the refund request and any supporting information (bank statement screenshot, error message, etc.)
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and respond with a decision within 7 business days. Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after the transaction may be declined.
8. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be initiated within 5 business days of approval and credited back to the original payment method used. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the amount may take a further 5 to 10 business days to reflect in your account. We will share the Razorpay refund reference once processed.
Refunds are issued only to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card, account, or wallet.
9. Chargebacks
We discourage initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank before contacting us at support@shaadibills.com. If you believe a charge is incorrect, email us first. We are committed to resolving valid issues promptly.
Fraudulent chargebacks (where a user receives a refund from the bank despite having used the Service) may result in account termination and may be referred for legal action.
10. Taxes and Fees
Where a refund is issued, any GST or other taxes originally charged will be refunded along with the principal amount, in accordance with applicable tax law. Payment processing fees charged by Razorpay are generally non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund if permitted by the processor's terms.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Any revisions will apply only to transactions made after the “Last updated” date. Transactions made before the update remain governed by the version in effect at the time of payment.
